HCEV BugETM Limited Warranty

Harvey Coachworks offers a 90-day limited nose-to-tail manufacturers warranty on all BugEs and accessories.

The warranty starts the day the BugE is delivered. This warranty covers manufacturer defects and defaults only. We do not cover misuse or broken parts caused by the user or by any other event. Harvey Coachworks will pay for standard shipping service costs on the first warranty shipment only. Any additional warranty parts that are needed will require the customer to pay all shipping costs.

Battery Warranty

We extend the Optima 18 month even trade warranty on defective batteries in the BugE SRT models.

Selected 12 month battery warranty models include: Models XR and XRT (when available)

If any battery should become faulty within the specified warranty period we will replace the battery free of charge. Harvey Coachworks requires that defective batteries be returned to us for exchange. Harvey Coachworks does not pay the shipping fee's to return the batteries to us however we will pay to ship the replacement batteries back to you. If you have questions about our warranty, please contact our support department by opening a ticket only. A HCEV representative will get back to you as quickly as possible. Our support hours are Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Standard Time.

Limited Warranty Details

  • BugE Body:Damage to any plastic/fiberglass part that is a result of shipping is covered only if it occurred during shipping. Shipping damage must be reported immediately after delivery to be covered under warranty.
  • Otherwise, the plastic/fiberglass body parts are not covered under this warranty. If, after careful inspection by our technical support department it is determined that the BugE was damaged during shipping (digital photos may be required by e-mail) , Harvey Coachworks at it's discretion will supply free of charge the necessary replacement parts to fix the damaged BugE. Harvey Coachworks will not pay labor charges to install such parts.
  • Tires & tubes: These items are NOT covered unless they are damaged as a result of shipping.
  • During the first 30 days of the warranty, Harvey Coachworks will replace any defective part free of charge and free of shipping charge to the end user of the BugE. Harvey Coachworks may require certain parts to be shipped back to Harvey Coachworks before replacing those parts. Shipping costs back to Harvey Coachworks must be paid for by the end user / customer after 30 days.

Return Policy

BugE returns are generally not permitted as the BugEs currently produced are custom vehicles manufactured to individual customer specifications. Accessory returns are permitted only accompanied by a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by Harvey Coachworks. If you wish to request a return, you must submit a support ticket, including the reason for your return. A HCEV representative will call you discuss your return, and issue an RMA number if applicable. In the rare occasion that a special circumstance BugE return is allowed, the vehicle must be accompanied by our RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number clearly taped on the outside of the vehicle or we will refuse your shipment. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Order Cancellation Policy

Before completing your purchase, please confirm that you have selected the correct model, color, options, and accessories. Due to the custom nature in which we manufacture the BugE, once an order is placed it is generally processed and production begins immediately. Cancellation fees are subject to the following charges:

  • Less than 5 days - 10% cancellation fee
  • 5 - 10 days - 20% cancellation fee
  • 10-20 days - 25% cancellation fee
  • 20- 25 days - 40% cancellation fee
  • 25-30 days - 50% cancellation fee
  • Over 30 days - not eligible for cancellation

One Year Free Technical Support

Harvey Coachworks offers free technical support is provided to each customer that purchases a Harvey Coachworks BugE. To access our technical support department, go to http://wwwharveyev.com/support to open a support ticket. After a support ticket has been opened a Harvey Coachworks technician will respond to your ticket and an e-mail will be sent to you. If you would like to speak to a technician by phone, include your phone number on the ticket and ask the technician to contact you. Tickets are answered in the order received. Your initial posting puts you in line for the next technician to assist you. Should you post to your ticket before a technician responds, you will move your ticket to the bottom of the list so to ensure a quick reply, do not to post again until a tech replies to you.
